OUR STORY & MISSION
About the Monroeville Lions Farmers Market
The Monroeville Lions Farmers Market was founded in 1982 by the Monroeville Lions Club to promote the local food movement and strengthen the Monroeville community. Spearheaded in its early development by Alek Wozniak of the Lions Club, and supported throughout the years by countless Lions Club members, the Market has found its current home at the Monroeville Mall.

This move marks a major step forward, providing greater visibility, improved amenities, and better parking with direct access to vendors, making the shopping experience larger and more convenient and enjoyable for all.

The Moroeville Lions Farmers Market is unique in the Pittsburgh area. Unlike many other markets, our vendors play an active role in market management, helping ensure that what you find here is geniuinely homegrown and handmade.

By shopping at the Market, you're also supporting the charitable misson of the Monroeville Lions Club. Proceeds go toward a wide range of causes, including assistance for the visually and hearing impaired, youth programs, local food banks, scholarships, environmental efforts and other community based initiatives. When you support our Market, you help improve lives throughout Monroeville and beyond.
